Scalextric sets

Scalextric are set to release their new Digital overdrive C1245 set this week having taken delivery of the sets on the 25th of August. This is the last set release to be available this year for the 1:32 scale sets. The digital overdrive set is an independent retailer only set and should not be available at any larger stores. The RRP of the item is £150 and we expect the track to be an oval shape as per the F1 McLaren set but included 2 robust cars instead of the F1 cars. We are expecting a couple of Micro Scalextric sets to arrive later in the year and even the possibility of a Braun GP set but this is yet to be announced.
There is a new Lemans set 1:32 that is being rushed through with the success of the Peugeot 908 at this year’s event over the underpowered Audi cars, from the whispers we have heard is that it could only be available in France but we are not totally sure this will be the case as we think it would be a great seller as the Full power set is set for deletion very soon with the amount of offer that have been around for this set. We would suggest if you are looking for a scalextric set or a lot of track and a lap counter then try to get your hands on one of there as some places have had then for sale for only £70 when the RRP of the set is £160.
