The Hornby Pendolino Set R1134 is a variation of the DCC Pendolino sets but this release is in Analogue form. Due to the changes the RRP of the item has come down from £199 to £129.99. It is not as good value for money as the older DCC set with a little less track and also with it only being analogue. However the Pendolino sets were always popular with younger collectors due to their tilting action offering something a little different to normal released from Hornby.
The track included with the set is basic oval and track pack A, giving a single oval plus one siding. The siding a a little short for the length of carriages but with the different couplings it makes it hard to split and connect trains and carriages as normally you would do.
Feedback we have on the set is that although it is aimed at younger collectors the item is a little to fragile for them, so we would suggest adult supervision when using the layout.
