Generally slot it do not release much in the way of technical assistance for their parts but we have just received some technical assistance for many of their recently released items and also for some items that are set for release over the coming months.
The details read as follows
Some technical suggestions for product use
Any cars which can mount a Boxer in angled position can mount a Flat 6 as well.
However, a few models can mount in angled position a Flat 6 but not a boxer due to height constraint:
Slot.it Audi R8C, Scaleauto Toyota GT1 and Radical LMP, and more to follow.
The new plastic angled gear from Slot.it may be used in both types of cars and can be divided in two categories:
a) GA1524, GA1525, GA1526 gears: diameter 15mm, thickness 1.2 mm, 24,25,26 teeth.
Developed in particular with cars like the Audi R8C, where the reduced thickness (only 1.2mm) makes installation under the wheel arch easy, but can be used in all other 'conventional' models as well.
In all cases, whether the model is a Flat 6 only or a Boxer anglewinder, these angled gears must be mounted with a 6.5mm pinion (PS10...PS13, o PI6510e...PI6513e) and a 1mm spacer between the hub of the gear and the bushing.
b) GA1627, GA1628, GA1629 and future GA1626, GA1630: diameter 16mm, thickness 1.5 mm, 27,28,29 teeth (26 and 30 under development):
Can either be used with Flat 6 only models like the Audi R8C, or in the other cars with a Boxer motor.
In the first case (e.g. - Audi R8C), a 6mm pinion (e.g. PI6010o, PI6011o) and a 0.75mm spacer (e.g. 3x0.25 mm spacers from PA47) must be used, whereas in all other cases the recommended setup is a 0.1mm spacer (e.g. 1*0.1mm spacer from PA47) and a 6.5mm pinion (PS10...PS13, or PI6510e...PI6513e).
The angled gears series GA15 and GA16 weight respectively 0.53g and 0.63g including grub screw.
