With the release of the Disney Pixar cars film over the weekend, Scalextric have managed to coincide the release of their Disney branded set.
Previous Micro set have proved to be very popular two to 3 years ago and sales of the set have proved to be good ever since its release. We expect the start version to be a popular set all the way through to Christmas if the film is as popular as the first release in the cinemas.

It’s quite a high price to pay for a kids set as it’s the highest priced Scalextric start set that has been released and it does price its self out of the market for a small gift and it would probably be either a birthday or Christmas present given its price. But branded items do cost that much more due to licensing costs involved with the production of the items.
